Looking for an exciting and challenging summer activity? The Templeton Robotics Club is hosting a week-long robotics camp in August for students interested in engineering and technology.
Our robotics camp offers a hands-on experience that guides students through the process of building a robot used in the FIRST Robotics Lego League. The goal of the camp is to foster early interest in STEM and nurture creativity, innovation and problem-solving skills. Campers will learn the fundamentals of building and coding through making their own lego robots. They can then apply that knowledge through exciting hands-on competitions, all while gaining productive learning habits, confidence, and teamwork skills.
Building a robot can provide attendees with invaluable experience in the field of engineering. Attendees will gain hands-on experience in building and troubleshooting a robot, while also developing problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
Each robot will be designed, built, and programmed by small groups of two to three campers. They will develop their ability to communicate ideas, divide tasks, and learn from their peers.
By experimenting with different codes and design techniques, campers will be able to develop their design skills and turn their creative ideas into functioning robots.
